The Applicounter fitted to a Mecal tool

FUNCTION

The Applicounter is a memory device which stores the relevant data of a miniapplicator (ie BOM and crimping parameters) and monitors the life of the tool as well as the wear parts (up to 10 different references).

The Applicounter can be factory fitted to any new 'Evolution' or 'Restyling' Mecal applicators. It can also be retrofitted to many older Mecal tools where a mechanical counter is fitted. Mecal will also consider fitting the device to competitor's tools.

The installation pack consists of the memory device, a USB or serial cable and special Applicounter CD ROM software including operator handbook and tool technical data

Information Display shows tool serial number, model number, terminal part no, wire sizes that can be crimped, disc or pad settings, crimp height, and total pieces crimped.

By clicking on the folder icon, all technical data relating to the tool can be displayed. Printouts can be easily made.

Clicking the counter tab displays the part numbers of the crimpers, anvils, shears etc. Also shown is their usage and preventative maintenance schedule. The number of cycles for a part can be set after which a warning will appear.

If a part is changed, the counter for this item can be reset. There are also free slots for any additional items that require monitoring

There is a free text field to store any additional information relating to the tool

Extra features include the facility to set a lot number. If the tool is connected to a pc during operation, a message will inform the operator when the batch is reached.
