Fixture Interfacing
NX System test point boards provide 128 test points per board, organized
into 2 groups of 64 points each. Each group of 64 test points is accessible
from the back of the Tester. A card edge connector is used to interface to a
set of 64 test points. The card edge connector may be equipped with discrete
wires or with a ribbon cable. Choose either discrete wire interfacing or
ribbon cable.
A discrete wire interface cable consists of 64 individual wires. Each wire
runs directly from a test point to a fixture pin. It is less expensive than
the ribbon cable solution.
Ribbon cables neatly deliver test points from a NX Tester to Terminal Block
Interfaces. Fixture pins are wired to the Terminal Block Interface by screw
terminals. Should a fixture block require maintenance, it can be unscrewed
and replaced with a substitute in seconds. |
